Interlocking

Two concept sketches of "Push On Through" with interlocking lettering on paper.

The key to interlocking lettering is having letters like s, f, r, a, etc. to extend past the boundaries of the typical letter over the surrounding letters. In this example, the s begins under the u, creating a simple interlock visually. To have rounded letters and letters with “arms” that already reach create the possibility for interlocking to take place.
